Summer Experiences

Each summer, we are proud to offer an ever-growing collection of experiences for youth of all ages. From local day camps in four communities, residential camps in a premier LARP campsite, and two unforgettable camping experiences, there’s something for everyone in summer 2016!

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Have you ever wanted to seek treasure and uncover secrets of the universe? Battle brutal bandits, gruesome goblins and unworldly undead and slay dragons? Find your way through the dungeon and claim the ancient treasure? Now you can in a interactive theater world armed with sword and sorcery. Become the Hero you have always dreamed of? Find the Philosopher stone and save the world or let the shadow of the great conjunction fall upon the lands of Etheraz forever!

LARP Adventure Program is a combination of theater, martial arts and costume/prop/stage design combined with critical thinking, creative problem solving and community leadership skills. Come see and participate in the finely crafted interdisciplinary experience of the LARP Adventure Program.

Focus is primarily on the technical and tactical aspects of playing LARP at the professional level while learning an integration of interdisciplinary skills  in multiple intelligence learning environments,  to develop 21st century skill sets.  We deliver our values of self empowerment through a curriculum based on  Theater, Martial Arts, and Expressive Arts.

The Event / Camp is lead by certified instructors and assistant instructor of LARP Adventure Program with 4 plus years of experience in the program In addition to player character development, the Etheraz offers game managements skills and personal development tools for a successful life.

Under the direction of professional strength and conditioning coaches, speed and agility training will be included in daily practice for all players. Educational and team building sessions will be offered and will include analysis of play, nutrition education, mental training techniques and empowerment workshops within the event.

DATES / TIMES:

Day camps will be running during consecutive week-long sessions throughout the summer from early June to late August. Camp runs from 8:00/8:30 a.m. until 3:30/5:00 p.m. every week day with a field trip / local event one day of the week.

Certain locations also offer early drop-off from 8:00 a.m. onward and/or late pick-up anywhere between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please check with our community partners for specific details.

PRICING:
Varies based on the community partner, but the typical range is from $400 to $600. All payments should be made to third party partner, please do not send payments for day camps directly to L.A.P.

JUNE WEEKS @ ACERA:

We have partnered with the Acera School in Winchester and are expecting to offer full day camps for grades 5-8 in the weeks of June 13th, June 20th and June 27th. Hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and price is at $500 per week. Address for this location will be 5 Lowell Ave, Winchester MA 01890.

We have partnered with the Summer Fun program in Arlington and are expecting to offer full day camps for grades 4-6 and 7-9 in the weeks of July 5th, July 11th and August 8th. We have partnered with the Art Span program of the Munroe Center for the Arts in Lexington and are expecting to offer full day camps for ages 9-14 in the weeks of July 5th, July 11th, August 1st and August 8th this summer. August 14th to 20th at Laurelin Retreat Center – Secrets of the Seven

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

With the divinities firmly rooted in the Realm of the Ancient Ones, our heroes return with uncertain expectations. Why has the crystal called them back to this place, if all seems to be going well? What secrets do the prophets speak of when they interpret the shadows of the crystal? And what relation does this all have with the emergence of clerical powers from Arugar and Kara’nix? A sense of foreboding hangs in the air and much remains unclear, but our heroes know better than to assume it will be a tranquil journey.

This is a marshals end of year graduation event and is open to marshals and invited guests only. All attendees at this event receive personalized storylines to specifically advance their character’s development. This events entails a fully off-the-grid camping experience. First-time campers should contact L.A.P. ahead of time to get important information on necessary supplies and practices.

PRICING:

Early Season Registration valid February 5th to April 15th – $800.00 per week, plus meal plan $165.00. Total: $965.00 per week. 
Spring Registration valid  April 16th to June 3rd  – $900.00 per week, plus meal plan $165.00. Total: $1065.00 per week. 
Late Spring Registration valid June 4th  to July 8th  – $1000.00 per week, plus meal plan $165.00. Total: $1165.00 per week.
Summer Registration valid July 9th  to August 5th  – $1100.00 per week, plus meal plan $165.00. Total: $1265.00 per week.
At Door Registration, placement cannot be guaranteed – $1,500.00 per week, plus meal plan $165.00. Total: $1,665.00 per week.

Payments must be made through our online storefront (store.etheraz.com) and may be in the form of credit card, paypal, or check-by-mail.

SITE INFO:

A premiere nature-focused retreat destination for over thirty years with 50 acres nestled in foothills of the beautiful Green Mountains. Small shrines and sacred spaces dot the fields and forest while a whispering brook flows over rocks and around trees.

This is a tent only site with no public running water, no public electricity and porta potty service. Hot shower packages are available at additional cost but are limited.

All payments are non-refundable, you are purchasing a ticket to an event. This event will run rain or shine.
