Youth and Young Adult Classes and Programing:

LARP Adventure Program is an interactive and improvisational theater program in which students create a storyline featuring a heroic character. Through acting out the plot of the story, characters evolve and grow. LARP teachers emphasize community, communication skills and creativity and foster a safe space for exploring life skills through role play. Enjoyable aspects include the collaborative creation of a story, the opportunity to overcome challenges, the pursuit of a character’s objectives and game-like aspects such as intellectual puzzles and athletic play.

Through the language and methods of Transformational Leadership through Drama we are able to cultivate the secret gifts within and bring ourselves to a deeper understanding of human consciousness and self-actualization.

SPECIAL NOTES ON THE EVENDA PROGRAM

We run an awesome curriculum that not only covers MA required educational bench marks for Theater, Art and Dance requirements through STEM learning, 21st Century Skill Development, Personal Development, DIY Projects and Multiple Intelligence Education, but we foster an environment where kids make life long friends and have a community to call their own.  Our academic year curriculum runs for 5 sessions, each Session is 2 months each.  Sessions run from September to the end of June.  Each Session covers a different intrinsic topic for LARP activities and community arts.
Session 1, Sep and Oct: Character Creation – Make original heroes to play LARP, discover your own personal legend within.
Session 2, Nov and Dec: Martial Arts for Self Confidence and Self Control – How to play the game with respect for one self and other.
Session 3, Jan and Feb: DIY Projects – Build your own LARP gear, learn to think creatively and make solutions.
Session 4, Mar and Apr: How to play LARP – Rules and how to use your character abilities and have game play adequate.
Session 5, May and June: Event Prep and Playing your Character, Time to celebrate for all your hard work and apply the skills you have learned.
Each year the student attendees their skills are tuned more actually in these foundational LARP and educational subjects.  After three years of completion of classes and projects, students are encourage to apply for our community arts leadership program called High School LARP, or LARP Adventure Project, where youth learn how to host and run larps.
Please note we highly recommend any student who wishes to attend Mod Day Mondays and LARP Games to attend curriculum classes in order to learn how to participate in the game of LARP as well as learn the important pillars of our community.  Note players gain experience points, ie points to level up there game play characters, by attending academic classes and weekend events.  Attending Mod day Mondays and or LARP Games without academic classes will not earn experience points.  We see these classes as a form of entertainment and a reward for the self development, community development and education programming.
